AAPS PTO Council

Lakewood’s PTO is part of the AAPS PTO Council that supports the PTOs from each AAPS school.

The following content was taken directly from the PTOC’s website. Learn more about the PTOC here.
Welcoming All with Respect, Compassion, and Integrity.

Each PTO and PTSO in the district is a member. Our mission is to promote excellence in our schools through communication and advocacy.

We provide a forum for communication and cooperation, and act as an advocate for member PTOs with district administration, with the Board of Education, and beyond. Together we facilitate parent involvement, share ideas and innovations, and work to advance the quality of our schools.

The PTO Council reports at Board of Education meetings, which are broadcast and available for view on the Community Television Network (CTN). Our monthly general meetings are open to the public and often have speakers of interest to all parents, staff, and administration.

How to get involved with the PTOC

  • Volunteer your skills to Ann Arbor Public Schools.
  • Volunteer your time (Field trips, School Activities, Lunch Time help, Fundraising/ donating, volunteer class assistant)
